Effective Date: June 1, 2024
It is extremely rare that items are lost or damaged. Your laundry is tagged and laundered separately from other orders at all times. However, in the event items are lost or damaged you’re protected under our Protection Policy.
Please be advised that we do not look at laundry tags prior to laundering. We cannot guarantee against color loss, color bleeding or shrinkage, or against damage to weak and tender fabrics as this would occur in any laundering process. These things are not covered by the Protection Policy.
Friendly Laundry Service provides only wash, dry, fold services and all items sent in will be laundered as such. We are not responsible for damage to ‘dry clean only’ items included in your laundry.
Although we try as hard as possible to track and find such items in your laundry, we are not responsible for loose items in pockets or bundles of garments (i.e. jewelry, watches, cash, etc.). We request that customers empty pockets prior to putting laundry out for pickup as we can not be held responsible for damage to your garments from items left in pockets (lipstick, gum, pens, etc.).
Policy covers:
- Missing or damaged items
- Used-value (up to 60% of retail purchase price) up to $20 per item
- Up to $100 per order
- Covers only when reported within 24 hrs of delivery
Policy does not cover:
- Shrinkage
- Color Bleeding
- Holes and tears in weak fabrics
- Inappropriate ‘dry clean only’ items included in your order
- Damage due to items left in laundry
- Any items left behind in laundry
Any reimbursement required will be issued in Friendly Laundry Service credits applied to future orders.
Credit given to the customer is not guaranteed and is under the sole discretion of Friendly Laundry Service. All reports of missing or damaged laundry will be investigated by Friendly Laundry Service which can take as many as three business days.
To submit a report, please email contact@friendlylaundryservice.com using the email address associated with your account. Please specify your order number in your report, and be as detailed as possible about the issues.
